This page explains how Prism Labs our Research App works
Prism Research App
This manual guides research institutions, study sites, clinical trial teams, and pharmaceutical organizations through access, study setup, participant management, scan capture, and results review.
01 · Access and organization setup
Use the account provided by your study administrator. After sign-in, accept the terms and complete Institution Setup if no organization is already associated with the account.
Institution Setup is skipped when the account is already connected to an institution.

Institution Name
The first letters of the institution name form the prefix used for campaigns.
02 · Campaigns
A campaign is the workspace that contains the participants and scans for a study. Use a clear naming pattern that your on-site team can recognize quickly.
Naming example: Pharma GLP-1 Study. For a multi-site program, add the site code or city according to the study plan.

03 · Participants
Each participant record stores the demographics required for body composition assessment and keeps all visits together for longitudinal review.
Protect participant privacy: use the identifier assigned by the study. Do not enter a participant name, email address, phone number, or other direct personal identifier.

04 · Start a scan
A participant may have multiple scans. Use the same participant record for follow-up visits so the study team can review change over time.

The Research App shows separate archive-upload and 3D-processing states. Before the participant leaves, confirm the scan progresses successfully to Ready. This can take about four minutes.
The capture is waiting for archive preparation.
The app is packaging the scan for upload.
The row shows upload progress as a percentage.
The upload is completing.
Choose Retry on the scan row. Do not start a replacement scan while a retry is available.
The upload completed and the scan is waiting to be processed.
The 3D model and measurements are being prepared.
The scan can be opened and selected for comparison.
The scan cannot be opened. Start a new scan if another assessment is required.
07 · Results and comparison
Open a Ready scan to view the rendered 3D avatar and body composition results. Comparison requires two Ready scans for the same participant.
Measurements are grouped into Torso, Arms, and Legs. Comparison lists values and their calculated change between two Ready scans.
08 · Settings and sign out
